Joe lives a life of solitude by choice on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado, asking no one to feel sorry for him. A widower, he has his daily routine of ranch chores interrupted one evening by a call from his just paroled son, Dylan. Dylan is a good kid that has a dark cloud that seems to follow him wherever he goes.

After success cleaning up Dodge City, Wyatt Earp moves to Tombstone, Arizona, and wishes to get rich in obscurity. He meets his brothers there, as well as his old friend Doc Holliday. A band of outlaws that call themselves The Cowboys are causing problems in the region with various acts of random violence, and inevitably come into confrontation with Holliday and the Earps, which leads to a shoot-out at the OK Corral.

BUCK AND THE PREACHER

Buck and the Preacher was the first movie I ever saw about the black experience after the civil war that was centered on their migration west. I’ve seen this movie three times since it was originally shown, and have enjoyed it as much each time, while Buck, a no-nonsense Wagon Master played by Sidney Poitier takes his responsibilities very seriously. Naive ex-slaves are putting their very lives and fortunes in his hands in their attempt to find the American Dream after slavery.

J.J. McQuade is a Texas Ranger who doesn’t exactly follow the rules, is unruly, and prefers to work alone, which earns the nickname, Lone Wolf McQuade. When he discovers some criminals have automatic weapons, he discovers that they were stolen from the military. He tries to handle on his own, as usual, but in the end, an old friend, and a prisoner, whom he was keeping under wraps, are killed.
